Engagement

Generation Tech

We are proud to be a part of Generation Tech – an interactive, interdisciplinary workshop that gives students hands-on experience working with microchip technologies.

Co-developed by researchers at Cardiff University’s School of Engineering and School of Physics and Astronomy and Science Made Simple, the two-hour workshop aims to deliver exciting STEM learning to 9-12 years. The workshops (funded by Cardiff University’s ‘Innovation for All’ Scheme) has already inspired over 650 young minds, since it’s launch in November 2022.

Our team has enjoyed seeing the enthusiasm and innovation shown by all the students involved and we hope to continue our partnership in the future.

Museum After Dark

Our team of researchers supported the Museum After Dark: Science on Show at the National Museum Cardiff in February 2023. The event delivered fun and interactive STEM activities to 1,200 families with children invited of all ages.

Our stand brought to life the intriguing world of compound semiconductor technologies, which included an exciting photon detection game that challenged participants to spot a single photon.
